Wachovia Losses - A Case of Broker Misconduct
In 2004, Tonya Blankenship and Donte Bolden had their mutual funds mismanaged by the brokers at Wachovia Securities, LLC. Blankenship and Bolden turned to the expert team of securities arbitration lawyers at The Hayes Law Firm to help them find justice and regain their losses.
Blankenship and Bolden, the claimants, went to court to hold Wachovia, the respondent, accountable, charging Wachovia with several different counts of broker misconduct including unsuitability, failure to hedge, failure to diversify, breech of contract and violation of NASD and NYSE rules. For Blankenship and Bolden, this wasn’t just about money—it was a piece of their futures that had been stolen by irresponsible investment.
The court ruled in favor of the claimants, charging Wachovia Securities to pay back the victims of mismanagement the sum of $125,405.
The experienced attorneys at The Hayes Law Firm specialize in helping responsible individuals get their money back when irresponsible brokers take unfair risks resulting in losses. See case details (blankenship.pdf).
